IGNITE ServicesSparking a passion for the Holy SpiritJoin us as we seek the Holy Spirit. We have seen many answers to prayer during these meetings. We hope to have another IGNITE service in early 2013.

Amanda joined us in 2011 all the way from Missouri. She felt God's call to come to Crossroads to help with our Children's Ministry. On Wednesday nights she leads the Jr Explorer's (9-11 yrs old) and during the weekend she plays a significant role in our Children's Church. We are so thankful that she came to work with us!

Youth MinstryOur youth ministry is designed to transition students ages 12-18 from being children to young adults by pointing them to Christ Jesus through teaching, worship and small group interaction. We constantly challenge the youth with the Word of God, model and practice living a healthy Christ-centered life and wondering about the purpose and calling the Living God has given them. Our youth minister to each other through prayer, discussion and real life application of the Word.

Men's MinistriesThe men's ministry program at Crossroads is an event driven ministry. Numberous events are scheduled throughout the year to allow men to gather together to encourage one another and to grow in their walk with the Lord. Our events include speakers, breakfasts, outreach events within the community, regional conferences and serving at various events through out the year. These events assist men in becoming the spiritual leaders of their homes, positive influences within the community and all that God has created them to be. It is our hope that this ministry will be a positive impact for this generation and those to come.Come see what the Lord is doing in the lives of the men at Crossroads.

In the fall of 2003, God placed a vision in heart of Karen Rydwansky to plant a church in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Church planting and Lead Pastoring were not areas she aspired to, but her love for doing what God asked of her superseded her own desires. A small core group was formed to pray and seek the Lord’s direction for this church. In January of 2004, God established Crossroads Worship Center. The first service began in South Shore Christian Academy’s gymnasium with about forty people. The vision became a reality, and Rev. Karen C. Rydwansky was officially installed as Lead Pastor in May of 2004.

Rydwansky was officially installed as Lead Pastor in May of 2004.Crossroads is a unique church, with less than a 50% majority of one ethnicity; it truly is an international church. Also, Crossroads is blessed to be multi-generational, with babies to seniors represented. The church has grown steadily since 2004, with our attendance hovering around two hundred throughout the weekend’s three service format.Community is a strong focus of our attention. Four years ago we began our “Adopt-a-school” project through which we adopted our local elementary school. It amazed us to find out that half of the families in this school are at poverty level. With this in mind, we provide bins of school supplies for the teachers to give to their students, complete service projects and renovations and try to meet any needs they may have. It has been a wonderful partnership and key to our place in the community. Less than a mile and a half from the church is a housing project. In 2009, we began to do outreaches for the children. For our midweek progamming we send a van to pick up children. There are other programs that we are involved with including: giving to the Food Bank, providing meals for the youth family program, being a part of the drug awareness task force, the youth coalition, and other community sponsored projects. We offer English as a Second Language (ESL). We have tapped into the Brazilian, Haitian and Moroccan communities through this ministry. We believe in Missions! From the beginning of the church, supporting missions has been our priority. We currently support twenty-five missionaries serving on every continent ministering to children, adults, Bible school students, drug addicts, and translating the scriptures. Our children’s church even supports a child from Cambodia. Our present mission’s budget is $45,000. In addition we respond to crisis needs, such as Japan,Haiti and World Hunger isues. Our church is a church of Growth Groups. Webelieve that each Christian must have a plan to continue growingin God. A high percentage (85%) of our church participates in a weekly growth group. Each group takes on a service project and a fun event as part of its semester term.

Happenings Women’s MinistryWe all need sisters in Christ to walk beside us.The women’s ministry program at Crossroads is an event driven ministry. We offer many events throughout the year for women to gather together in order to build one another up in faith. Our events include breakfasts, speakers, outreach programs (both within the church and in the community), district retreats, regional conferences and serving at events during the year. These events are a great opportunity for women of all ages to make new friends, be encouraged and fellowship all while growing closer to God.Come be a part of what God is doing in the lives of the women at Crossroads.

Our BeliefsWE BELIEVE...The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.WE BELIEVE...There is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).WE BELIEVE...In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine. WE BELIEVE...though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.WE BELIEVE...Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through 'Salvation' (accepting Christ's offer of forgiveness for sin). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]WE BELIEVE...and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvationthat empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]WE BELIEVE... The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.WE BELIEVE...Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.WE BELIEVE...The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.WE BELIEVE...A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church.WE BELIEVE...Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]WE BELIEVE...in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the A/G]WE BELIEVE...in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.WE BELIEVE...A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.WE BELIEVE...and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!'
